Rules and Procedures

The Administrative Tribunals Act (section 11) allows the ERAT to establish rules respecting practice and procedure to facilitate the just and timely resolution of matters before it. The ERAT has established its Rules pursuant to this authority.

These Rules are to be followed during the appeal process. Any procedural questions that arise during the appeal process or during a hearing that are not addressed in these Rules will be decided by the ERAT based on considerations of administrative fairness (for further information on administrative fairness, see “A Guide to Administrative Law in BC” at http://www.adminlawbc.ca/.
